Branding & Packaging Design
The Blooming Bastards is a bold and fun fertilizer brand made to stand out in the grey world of city gardens. It’s for people who want to see nature take over again—loud, wild, and full of colour. With a name that feels like a rock band, this brand speaks to a new kind of gardener. The kind who loves plants but also wants a little attitude on their shelf.
I created everything from the name and brand voice to the look and packaging. The line includes 3 SKUs, each with its own bold design and cheeky label. All the pieces work together to make a strong, energetic brand that turns a simple bag of fertilizer into something exciting. This is a brand for urban fighters turning concrete into bloom.
The Blooming Bastards is pure wild-growth power for anyone who wants the earth to bloom again! Is the rebellious voice of urban greenery. It’s not just about selling fertilizer—it’s a green revolution against the concrete jungle!
The Blooming Bastards speaks the language of power: plants that don’t just survive, they conquer. The brand makes irony a key part of branding and tone. From the name to bold slogans and eccentric characters, it’s all about playful rebellion. These characters represent strength being passed onto plants—proving flora can be fearless. Design turns plant care into a mission and form of self-expression

The brand’s symbol is Lucha Libre characters — a bold visual metaphor for the strength these fertilizers give to plants. Each package represents a scene or a battle. In the spotlight: wrestlers in signature costumes, but with a twist — a flower or a leaf instead of a head. It’s a stylized and ironic take on the idea that these fertilizers turn plants into champions of the ring.
